Do things that excite you. Set goals and master a skill. Be kind and empathetic. Gratitude is the best way to live. Execute and take massive action. Make decisions quickly and change them slowly if at all. Be willing to fail, a lot. Believe in yourself and never, ever, give up.

If you are reading this, thank you for taking the time to invest in yourself and becoming better. I want to start off by talking about the importance of goals. While achieving goals is important, defining them and becoming the type of person who can achieve them is even more important. Many times, we set lofty goals and then just hope we get there one day. That is a start but not a great way to achieve lofty goals.

Start by defining your values. Things like, what would you want to be said of you at your funeral? Who do you want to be known as? What things are truly important to you in life? One you have defined those things, set some concrete goals to do or become those things. Instead of “Lose weight”, make your goals more specific such as “Lose 10 pounds by June 1st by eating a (defined) diet and getting on a specific training plan.”

Goals play a crucial role in our personal and professional lives, as they provide a clear direction and purpose for our actions. Setting goals helps us to identify what we want to achieve, and it enables us to measure our progress towards our desired outcomes. Without goals, it can be challenging to stay motivated and focused on achieving success. Goals provide a sense of purpose and direction, and they help us to prioritize our time and efforts. By setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals (SMART goals), we can work towards achieving our desired outcomes in a more structured and efficient manner.
